The BIM Execution Plan (BEP) outlines collaboration guidelines for the team, including (GC, AEC Firms, and others), ensuring cohesive efforts in project design and construction.

The BEP outlines the level of detail (LOD) for modeling, file exchange protocols, naming conventions, and the roles of involved parties in the modeling process. A comprehensive BEP beforehand ensures project smoothness. EDGILY offers assistance in crafting BEPs that align with both the GC and team requirements.

The primary aim of BIM implementation is seamless physical coordination among disciplines, ensuring efficient and precise field installation. The EDGILY BIM Coordination process encompasses Clash Detection reports, Constructability reviews, and virtual or in-person Coordination meetings with architects, engineers, consultants, construction manager(s), and sub-contractors.

Individual project schedules, Gantt charts, email alerts, documentation hosting, RFI logs, and project specific group contact lists are seamlessly consolidated into a user-friendly, accessible platform.

Assuming the role of Lead BIM Pre-construction Coordinator is a standard part of our scope. During Lead 3D Spatial Coordination, our objective is to collaboratively develop a comprehensive construction model with all stakeholders, aiming to minimize field re-work, delays, and change orders effectively.

We synchronize Architectural and Structural BIM models with those from various MEP Trades, conducting clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Autodesk® Navisworks or BIM 360™ Glue. Our process addresses not only collisions but also clearance for installation and maintenance space. We lead weekly coordination meetings, ensuring model updates are implemented until Signed-off Models are prepared for shop drawings creation.

Throughout any project, it proves essential to regularly validate the information integrity within a Building Information Model (BIM). Neglecting BIM audits can lead to inaccurate output data and consequently, unreliable reports.

To ensure dependable BIM output, it is imperative that all documentation adhere to established practices, standards, and Levels of Development (LOD). This encompasses Construction Documents, Constructability Analysis, 3D Coordination, Bills of Materials, and 6D/7D Facilities Management models. Engaging an impartial third party to validate all BIMs developed at crucial project milestones is considered a best practice.

Leveraging our extensive expertise in BIM creation and validation, EDGILY offers comprehensive reviews of designs to ensure proper documentation of specific methods (level of detail and naming standards, and other design criteria).
